The Wilson Museum has in our care cultural heritage items from around the world. We have made an institutional commitment to decolonizing our collection, our relationships, our content, and the way we work. As part of this, we are in the process of consulting and collaborating with Indigenous nations, communities, and people towards the goal of aligning our collections care, access, and interpretation with this commitment, alongside repatriating cultural items that should not be in our custody.

The TK (Traditional Knowledge) Notice is a visible notification that there are accompanying cultural rights and responsibilities that need further attention for any future sharing and use of this material. The TK Notice may indicate that TK Labels are in development and their implementation is being negotiated.
