Project details

Description

This project has been developed to support the application of Local Context labels to protect Te Roroa interests with respect to kauri (Agathis australis) within our rohe (tribal territory).

The project encompasses all physical and digital forms of information including, but not limited to data, images, videos, research outputs etc. of kauri from the rohe of Te Roroa. Te Roroa actively supports science and kaupapa Maori research which acknowledges the significant relationship of Te Roroa with kauri and seeks to provide information and benefits to forest health and adaptive management.

Te Roroa Kauri Ora encourages positive relationships and seeks to develop research partnerships and collaborations with a shared desire to enhance the health and well-being of our natural landscapes. The application of Local Contexts labels with partner agencies, institutions, and individuals is a recognition of positive intent from all parties.
