eDNA and Stream Explorers Surveys

Collected water eDNA samples as well as specimens for tissue extraction alongside Stream Explorers surveying conducted by Maine DEP and the Penobscot Nation Department of Natural Resources. Sampling occurred at two time points - September 2022 and May 2023 - at three stream reaches. eDNA analysis focused on the 12S and COI primers and how well either primer might serve as a biomonitoring tool for benthic macroinvertebrates of interest.
